Like the common thread in

Wittgenstein’s rope,

or Hume’s empty, ever-changing bundle,

the Thing IS the unknowable center—

the self—

the Dharma,

the entirety of reality and unreality—

the sum of the spurious parts—

the whole in the proverbial doughnut—

—Like looking at the visible spectrum,

and seeing the colors that aren’t there,

or looking deeply into anything at all,

and seeing something that bears a strikingly

familiar resemblance to your own reflection.
