I return to the breath.
I return to my center.
And then, no matter the
bounty of inner peace and
tranquility that I
might find there,
or lifetimes I may spend
roaming the forests
of the triple worlds
searching for truffles
like a love-sick pig,
eventually,
like a trusty
Labrador
always returns
to the trail
guided by
her master’s call,
my thoughts always
find their way
back home
to you.
